Deanna Schultz, Phil Bull and Nats Bull

WHERE DID YOU MEET?

TOWN: Leek

COUNTY: Staffordshire

PLACE: Tittesworth Reservoir

WHAT DID YOU DO?

DEANNA:

Nats and Phil messaged me in the morning to say they were camping in Leek and asked if I'd like to meet up with them for a walk. I jumped at the chance.

NAT AND PHIL:

Philip's dad and mum were not well for a little while and we tried to find a campsite near Derby where they live but the campsites were fully booked. One became available about an hours drive from them. This gave us opportunity to think of possibility to meet up with 'Trooper friends'.

WHAT WAS IT LIKE MEETING UP WITH A TROOPER IN PERSON?

DEANNA:

As we drove down to the car park Nats happily jumped up and down waving frantically and it made me so happy to see her. Wish we could have hugged! We had massive smiles all the time we were there. We chatted and walked the dogs and did some Trooper exercises that Kelly had set me along the way. It was so lovely to finally meet them and they were just like they were on Zoom. Both are so lovely and we chatted for ages about all sorts - jobs, Trooper stuff, cani cross and challenges. They are such lovely people and Nats even gave me a bracelet she had made for me. Would love to meet them again.

NAT AND PHIL:

Meeting Deanna felt like meeting someone you know already. We had a nice walk together and chatting about work, dogs, fitness and injuries and a lot about Kelly's session :-) ! Seeing each face to face, knowing we got through a difficult time together, there was nothing more but warm long HUG. No! We didn't hug.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT MILITARY IN MOTION AND THE COMMUNITY?

DEANNA:

The Trooper community is so supportive. Whether you are flying high on a PB or feeling down, the community is always there for each and everyone. Troopers are always there to chat, laugh, support, challenge, help and have random Zooms! To think we never knew each other before lockdown yet the community that Kelly has built has grown from strength to strength and now I feel I have a group of life long friends I am yet to meet! Troopers forever!

NAT AND PHIL:

End of March 2020, I tried your core exercises, I thought this is what I needed to get fitter. 6 months on and you are keeping us sane by occupying #Troopers
