Before and After



After working out with my friend and PT Hayley, for over 2 years I was struggling to keep focused during the start of lockdown 2020, even though I am lucky to have a garage gym (both my teenage boys are black belts in Taekwondo and now boxing has taken over!!). I stumbled across Dame Kelly’s morning abs sessions in early April and have been on the Military in Motion journey ever since, I have done almost every challenge (apart from the 1500 and 10k as I knew my shin splints wouldn’t allow it). I felt my fitness was almost back on track by the end of The Trooper games in August, then we opened our B & B and life got in the way, I was even doing Dame Kelly’s morning abs whilst cooking the breakfasts at one point!. I was doing what I could in the gym and kept on with the challenges over the Christmas period, but my eating habits just went crazy and I piled on the pounds.


When Dame Kelly brought out her 28 day killer abs programme I couldn’t wait to get started, I knew I had to get my head back in the game I needed the structure and focus. The live zoom sessions have been fantastic, being instructed, motivated and inspired by the double Olympic champion Dame Kelly Holmes!! Afterwards always a chat with the Trooper community, although I still don’t really say a lot as I’m quite a shy person, it’s nice to listen to everyone and know that if your struggling with anything others will support, pick you up and be there for you if they can.


Where I am now: I am delighted with the difference from top photos to bottom, and my 1 stone weight loss, I know I still have a little way to go yet. I will miss the structure over the next few weeks as my fitness journey isn’t over yet. I‘m looking forward to seeing what the next challenges will bring, and when we open our B & B in May I know I have make adjustments, get the balance right so that I can still make time for me. I just want to thank you Dame Kelly and all the Military in Motion Troopers for their support and encouragement over the past 12 months. Fingers crossed my next gut photos will show me (now 50!) with a six pack!!! Never had one before!! 🤣😂

Fantastic achievement. Work is such an inconvenience but with planning and dedication you will make sure you fit in time to keep training. Training is your new normal daily routine. Your results are fab👍👍
